St. Peter's

As I mentioned in the last post, today's Mass was at St. Peter's Basilica.  Cardinal John Foley was the principal celebrant.  It was neat to be back at the altar where I was ordained a deacon to celebrate Mass.
So the weekend has begun.  I've got a couple of homilies to prepare (one for Sunday, one for Tuesday), and aside from that all I hope to do is get some more reading done for my thesis.

On a happy note, I received a package yesterday from Mom and Dad - my Christmas gifts!  It was mailed December 6, it left Italian customs December 28, and arrived at my door February 15.  At least it arrived.  But just an inkling of how wonderfully efficient is the Italian way of life...
