This Semester's Classes
I forgot to mention the classes I'm currently taking at the Teresianum, for those who are interested:
Medieval Spirituality
Spirituality of Religious Life
Spirituality of Laity
Fundamental Themes of Spiritual Theology
Introduction to Spiritual Theology
Patristic Spirituality
Spiritual Direction
Halfway through the semester, the Intro to Spiritual Theology course will be replaced by Methodology (where we'll learn about writing theses).
Not a bad schedule. 4 hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 2 hours on Friday. That doesn't mean it's a cakewalk, though.... the fact that they're all in Italian complicates things a bit!
Most of the professors are Carmelite priests. Most of them are native Italians, too, which surprised me -- I thought there would be a lot more Spaniards. Maybe later on in the program.
