If you had one guess...
This morning's Station Church was the first one I had made it to since Friday, as I have had other commitments preventing me from attending. And this morning's church was yet another church of St. Lawrence. This time it was San Lorenzo in Damaso. It is named for Pope St. Damasus, who had the original church built near the site of the present church. The original church was destroyed at some point, and a new one was built to take its place. As you can see from the photos, the church is very beautifully decorated, and not in a style that was prevalent in the early centuries of the Church.
The Venerable English College (basically the Roman house of formation for British seminarians) treats the church of San Lorenzo kind of like their parish church. They have their own chapel at the College, but I guess some of their liturgical celebrations are carried out in this church.
Okay. No more churches of St. Lawrence . . . at least for another couple of weeks!

Fr. Kenny, you have a wonderful blog! You may want to change the subtitle, however, from "deacon" to "priest" :)
God bless!
